Dionaea m. 'Ginormous' is the biggest and best Venus flytrap cultivar so far!

The traps can even get a little bit bigger than the famous Dionaea m. 'B-52'.  It also is a more vigorous plant, especially when grown outdoors.  These will grow quickly until it is the biggest flytrap in your collection.

PLEASE NOTE VENUS FLYTRAPS GO DORMANT FROM OCTOBER-MARCH during this time they appear quite small and grow few traps.  They will begin to grow vigorously again in Spring. WHEN YOU ORDER THIS PLANT IN SPRING IT WILL ARRIVE SMALLER THAN THE PHOTO!

Very Tiny, but healthy

The flytrap came healthy (CalCarn always has great shipping), with a few tiny traps, about half an inch each, with a new one coming in. The flytrap was pretty tiny, the diameter being about that of a quarter, but overall healthy. I’ve ordered from CalCarn before, and the plants are really good quality and an ok size, but don’t expect this plant to be large as the on I received was really tiny. It also came with a hitchhiker (a sundew). Overall, I’m excited to see how big the traps on this plant will get.

Dionaea Ginormis

Plant arrived potted and healthy.
Already growing vigorously and much to my surprise already attracted and caught a yellow jacket wasp that somehow was in the house. The wasp was larger than the trap but it held it and is now in the digestion phase..

It's a cute little thing!

I just received my D. Ginormous. So, it's too early to tell because it's just a little thing right now and it's very healthy.

For comparison. I received my D. Mammoth a couple of months ago. It was a little thing when it arrived but now it's quite large and thriving.

I have no doubt that D. Ginormous will do just as well. Can't wait to see it full grown!

I am ordering from the literal other side of the country. This plant was in shipping for a week, and it is still thriving! Now while still young, the plant has grown extremely fast! I bought it with some of their soil, and I water it like twice a day. (Btw use distilled or reverse osmosis water or the plant will die because of excess minerals)
